Good afternoon to all Nabs members. I hope you all are having a productive summer. It is my honor to endorse my friend Vee Gaspa for vice president of the National Association of Blind Students. I have known Vee for a little over a year, and I have seen her leadership in action. The weekend before last, blind students from Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, and New York gathered at the Jernigan Institute in Baltimore for a productive seminar in which Vee was the key organizer. I saw her enthusiasticly welcoming everyone, outlining the basic rules, and encouraging everyone to network. Vee is hard-working and passionate about the philosophy of the Federation, but also enthusiastic and personable. She has worked to increase active membership in the New Jersey student division and in several other states, hence qualified for this position.
