Agreed

The Successful Student Summer was a great seminar. It was planned, executed,
and enjoyed by the work of Chris Nusbaum, Vee Gaspa, and I, with some
outstanding assistance from the President of NYABS, Nihall and PABS
representative Jason pulanski. I wishe you were able to come, but there will
definitely be more on the horizon.

Hey Ashley!

Great question! Vee and some other state student division leaders put
together a great seminar! President Riccobono led discussions on Friday, and
other Federationists did on Saturday. I was fortunate enough to attend this
seminar and work with the student division presidents from Virginia,
Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. This was one of many
regional seminars we have conducted over the past year and even more special
since it was at our national office!

Thanks for the question.

We will miss you in Orlando,
Kathryn

Hello all,

As an outsider not involved in the elections as I won't be at convention,
this is interesting.
I think all who have contributed supporting messages for both sides have
great points and who ever wins, they will be a good leader. It seems like
both vp candidates have done a lot for Nabs and furthering the movement
already. I am sure it will be an interesting election!

I want to say thanks to the candidates for running and I wish you all well
as you watch the election coming up. I will gladly listen to it provided the
nabs meeting is streamed as it has in the past.

I'm curious what Vee's role
was in the student seminar weekend at the national office. I understand she
had a hand in organization but what went on there that she did. Was she a
leader of some of the activities? It sounded like a fun and educational
weekend especially the part about getting to grill.

Considering the competition at hand that you all are talking about, it seems
to be respectful.
It is interesting to hear about what both candidates have done and why you
all support them.

I look forward to hearing the results of this election!

Ashley

Dear all,
I want to first start by saying welcome to the Federation Garrett.
Second, I am so very proud of Vee. As you all may know, the weekend of June
second, students gathered at the NFB headquarters for a seminar. Vee did a
wonderful job representing NJABS as well as organizing this wonderful
gathering. She has a bright spirit as well as a very understanding
personality. I have only known Vee for one weekend but can't wait to see
what wonderful things she will continue to do. Please consider voting for
VEE Gaspa!
Thanks,
Nesma

Thank you very much, Garrett, it has been great knowing you for so many

forward to working with you and seeing you involved in the future! Most
importantly, welcome to our Federation family!
Best,
Vee Gaspa

Hello all,

To most of you I'm a new face among the crowd. to those who attended the
Northeastern Student Seminar last month I'm glad to have met all of you. To
my knowledge there has been some behind the scenes controversy in regard to
the upcoming election. In the past few months I've been an outsider, but
consider this email a statement of my opinion on the matter.

Over many years I've witnessed Vee's transformation from a naive girl into
an independent and fearless leader. In the last year she's handled an
immense amount of responsibility, to the point where I find it staggering
she can do it all at once. There have been many late night phone calls about
how stressed and overwhelmed she is. In spite of that she continues to
succeed on a remarkable level, beyond what i ever could. Between NABS,
NJABS, and attending school full time she has been able to balance her
studies, duties to the NFB, and an active social life.

She has dedicated herself to the Federation, and NABS in particular.
What impresses me even more is her capability to listen to all opinions, and
to be attentive to those who need her. This email is not intended to tell
you who to vote for, but to encourage you to consider where you cast your
vote carefully. I'm supporting Vee because I see her as the best person for
the job. Take this in mind when others pressure you to think otherwise.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to working and collaborating with
all of you in the future.

Regards,
Garrett Kearns
Member of the Virginia Association of Blind Students
