However, for half the price you get an iOS or android device and a braille
display. This to me seems the more logical answer. Not just for the fact of
saving money but it's more versatile and as far as the braille display is
concerned rarely needs updating. You can also use your braille display with
either your computer or mac computer.

Another thing about the HIMS units is that typing on the braille keyboards
is almost silent, even when you are not trying to be. I don't know how they
do it.

I had a BrailleNote BT; the Lions Club bought it for me. I loved it because
it had a braille keyboard, and I type the most quickly in braille. I say
"had" because a cell on the braille display stopped working, and HumanWare
doesn't make the BrailleNote BT anymore.
