[nabs-l] Braille Displays and Notetakers

That is the cheaper way to go. The disadvantage, if you could call it that,
is that you are carrying around 2 devices to get the job done rather than
one. An alternative would be to buy the Mini when it comes out, but again,
is more expensive than buying something like the Orbit II.

That is a problem with these over-priced devices. My Apex from humanware is
a heavily-used item that is on its last legs. So, the Polaris sounds
intriguing; however, it is expensive as well. So I believe I will pair a
braille display with an IPone and be much better off.

I had a BrailleNote BT; the Lions Club bought it for me. I loved it because
it had a braille keyboard, and I type the most quickly in braille. I say
"had" because a cell on the braille display stopped working, and HumanWare
doesn't make the BrailleNote BT anymore.

Hello all,

I am in the market for a braille device. I would love to know what devices
you all own or have owned. It would be especially helpful if you would share
why you selected the device you own, instead of others.

Thank you in advance, and I look forward to hearing your responses!
