Hi all,

I wholeheartedly agree with all you guys.  This is very 
disturbing that this is happening again.  By the way, I believe 
that when it happened the last time, there was a message that 
went out asking us to send videos about the different things that 
we are capable of.  I strongly suggest  doing this and sending 
them to the organization if possible, so that they can see that 
we're people just like them, who just happen to be bl; that IS 
NOT what holds us back.  In the videos, we could maybe share a 
short description of our life story (like what we're studying in 
college, what jobs people might be doing etc), followed by a 
specific action/talent we are capable of doing, like saying hello 
in another language or playing the piano (or any other musical 
instrument).

Fighting Blindness's #HowEyeSeeIt campaign of last October, which 
the Federation pushed back against strategically and forcefully.  
It seems to me that, if this campaign is gaining popularity as 
the previous one did, we may have to oppose it in a similar 
fashion.  I would suggest passing this solicitation on to 
President Riccobono directly at officeofthepresident at nfb.org.  It 
would be interesting to see whether he thinks this is worth 
responding to.  Please keep us posted.

 I don't know if you all have seen this or not but I think it is 
very unhelpful to the Blind Freedom Movement.  The organisation 
is called Prevent Blindness and they are beginning a campaign 
called "Why I Fight." It seems, as I understand, they want people 
to share what having sight means to them.  The organisation is 
putting emphasis on getting sight back.

 I plan to flood this hashtag with reasons why I fight for blind 
freedom; why I fight for equality.

 Just wanted to make everyone is aware of this organisation and 
their Twitter campaign.
