[NABS-L] portable scanning devices

Hi Ashley,
I have the Hovercam Flex which is not handheld but certainly more portable
than any other scanner I've had before. I use it with Kurzweil. The Short
Text channel on SeeingAI is pretty good, if you're looking for an app where
you don't have to focus the image fully before starting OCR.
HTH,
Sarah

Subject: [NABS-L] portable scanning devices

Hi all,

Other than the KNFB reader, what portable scanning devices are there?
I think it would be good to have a portable scanning device that I can hold
and snap a picture of the page and it then OCRs it.

Has anyone used the eye pal? While this is not hand held, it is light weight
and sounds pretty portable since it would fit in a laptop bag or backpack.

Thanks.
Ashley
