Creating Leaders and Inclusion in Molecular Biology

May 14th-June 22nd 2018

The CLIMB Summer Research Program in the Van Hoewyk Lab at Coastal Carolina University seeks to develop tomorrow's leaders in cell and molecular biology. This NSF-funded program aims to create research opportunities for undergraduates who have physical disabilities. A stipend, airfare, and housing are provided.

National Science Foundation Where Discoveries Begin

Science is driven by good ideas, and diverse groups broaden the "idea pool. People with both visual and nonvisual physical disabilities are underrepresented in the scientific community, and CLIMB will provide accommodations and support for all undergraduate students.

To apply: qualified students should submit a resume, unofficial transcript, cover letter that describes your career goals, and the contact information of three professors/employers who can serve as a reference. Please submit material via email to dougvh at coastal.edu by April 1st. All applicants are encouraged to email or call Doug Van Hoewyk (843 349 2431) to discuss CLIMB or possible projects.

Sincerely,
