Dear Students,

I hope this message finds you well. I am nearing the end of my training at the Rehabilitation Center For The Blind and Visually Impaired in Daytona, Beach, Florida. I have learned a lot of new things since I have been here. The first two weeks of my training consisted of assessments where I was asked a series of questions about what I could and could dot do on my own. Do the instructors at the Nfb training centers complete assessments on new students when they arrive? Here at the Rehab Center, we have a Case Manager who is in charge of each student's case who is participating in the Independent Living Skills program. Is this how it is at the Nfb training centers.

Here in Daytona, the dormitory and each of the instructors must submit reports about the students to Case Management. The reports are discussed during the progress staffings that each student must attend. Hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Roanna Bacchus
