One thing I don't like about Vital Source is you don't get to keep the book.

If you got it from BookShare you can go to your account and click on the book itself where it says available like the status, and because you have bookshelf installed, you can easily import it from there. You should be able to do that with other software as well. I’ve only done it through BookShare so that’s all I know.

>>> Hi. I actually have the bookshelf app on my PC and on my phone. On the PC, I cannot get anything imported. I created a specific folder and bookshelf and cannot get anything moved there from my downloads or anywhere else on my computer. I’m not sure why am having so much difficulty, especially because this is supposed to be an accessible format and vital source is very aware of accessibility. Do you have any tips to help me import EPUB books so that I can read them and bookshelf? Thank you.

There is an app called bookshelf by vital source which primarily has books in EPub format. It is free to download and all you have to do is create an account for free which will allow you to download books directly from the site, and you will be paying for them but they will be 80% less than a traditional college textbook any day. So the payment for your books will be worth it. I have never had accessibility issues with this kind of format in that app. Also, if you have this book from a different source you can import it into the app to read.
