Dear Parent/Guardian/Potential Participant,
We are pleased to invite students to participate a research study about tactile graphics. The purpose of this study is to help us understand how best to produce tactile graphics so that they are useful to students. We are going to be showing participants up 6 graphics produced using three different methods. We have produced an embossed version on a braille printer, a version on swell paper, and a version on thermoform paper.
The study activities will be held at the National Federation of the Blind's 2019 National Convention. Study times will be scheduled at various times on Sunday, July 7th through Friday, July 12th. Selected participants will receive a $50 Amazon Card for every 30 minutes of participation (no more than 1 ½ hours).
If you are already attending the National Federation of the Blind 2019 Convention, please activate the link below to provide us with additional information. This information will then be used to make sure that this study is a good fit for you. The participant slots will be allotted on a first-come-first-serve basis, so please complete the survey as soon as possible.
Surveys must be completed no later than July 2, 2019. The responses will be reviewed by Pearson staff and Consent Letters will be sent on or before July 6, 2019 to those selected for participation.

If you (or your child) is selected to participate in the study, we will notify you via email and attach an electronic consent form for you to complete. Once we receive the consent form back, we will schedule a time slot to participate.
