[NABS-L] [nabs-l] PowerPoint and PDFs

Oh, ok, I am all excited now. I have some professors who upload pdf files as images and do not add text to them, and I would love to have something that could convert them to words. Acrobat pro you said? How much does it cost? And do you have to pay a monthly fee or do you just have to pay a one-time fee to purchase it and then you can do whatever you need to with it? Thanks.

If it is not letting you enable editing, you may have to convert it to a word document, and there are a few websites you can do that on, I am not remembering them right now since I switched to using the Mac and I haven’t used windows all that much from the early spring. Yes, sometimes pdf files will show up as blank. I would check which browser you have set as your default browser, particularly Microsoft edge is not a good browser at all, especially when viewing pdf docs. Also, if you don’t have Acrobat Reader DC, I would download it because it makes it a little bit easier to view pdf docs, especially since you can set it as the default pdf viewer. I would also try downloading NVDA since it is free, and see if it will read them to you.
