Please feel free to pass it along. CVStats is a website built to help users track and understand Covid19 data. It allows you to view global statistics as well as more granular statistics, by country, by states in the United States, or by County in the United States. It does this by representing data in tables and lists so that it is easier to visualize and understand. If you or anyone you know has found processing and understanding the data complicated, please feel free to give this a try. I'm open to all suggestions and/or ideas. Feel free to email me off-list at tyler at tysdomain.com, and check out the site at https://cvstats.net. We all know that today is a very important day for democracy. By casting your vote, you have a say in our democratic process in which crab will make it out of the bucket of low expectations and become the first-ever MiABS Crab Champion. With the deadline to support your favorite crab being Saturday, November 7 at 6pm, there isn't much time left to bid on your fave. Remember, supporting this event is a benefit to our Michigan blind students, who uses the funds in the form of a college scholarship for the next year. Now the standings have changed significantly and I am a bit worried. Check it out: > > Current Crab Standings by Bids Earned > > 1. The Amazing Blind Crab (Sabrina Simmons) > 2. Chunky Crab (What in the squirrel?) > 3. Charismatic Crab (KaShonia Graham) > 4. Confused Crab (Mike Powell) > 5. Capital Crab (Shawn Callaway) > 6. NABS Crab (Mausam Mehta) > > Ok, I'll admit that the Amazing Blind Crab just changed the game on us with the burst of energy and support for Michigan students, but its not too late. The top four crabs are close in relation to shares sold so your bids could change the game all over again. This competition is down to the wire and the Michigan student division is so grateful for all of the help we have gotten to make this dream a reality. Again, bids are $5 each and you are able to bid on more than one crab as many times as you please. I have included the link below and ask all of you to support the crab you want to win this race, after you support me first. Or not. With conventions in full swing, elections finally behind us, and holidays on the horizon; the National Association of Blind Students is now in need of your help. As per our tradition, NABS is a very active part of Washington Seminar. Our 2021 Washington Seminar boasts a virtual platform, leaving NABS with the challenge of creating programming that entertains members, guests, and elected officials; but also brings in some financial support for future endeavors. Our NABS action auction, which is a staple each year at seminar, is still a big part of this fundraising event in February, so it is time for our membership to pitch in and create possibilities for us to continue our great work. Read below to understand the process. > > > > The Basics: The NABS board, along with the fundraising committee have been tasked with gathering donations for auction items for over a month already and would like to extend this request for all members to assist. Attached to this message is the official NABS funding packet. This packet includes a description of NABS, our programs, and our mission. It also includes different levels of sponsorship and a request for either sponsors or item donations. NABS would benefit if each of you can approach businesses, organizations, individuals, conglomerates, literally anyone interested in helping to build the Federation with NABS, for a donation of some sort. Below are some of the things that can be included as a donation: > > > > Cash: if someone or a business would like to contribute cash, please ask them to complete the packet, indicating how much they would like to donate. That packet should be emailed to me at Robert.E.Parsons at wmich.edu so that I can add it to the records. The packet also includes the phone number, email address, and payment information for our NABS treasurer, Elizabeth Rouse. By sending me the completed funding packet, Elizabeth and I can anticipate when these funds will be sent and confirm when it has arrived. > Individual Items: though auctions at NABS events and conventions may seem larger than life, we are not an organization that belittles any donation. With NABS’ bundling experience, even the seemingly miniscule items can be rolled into a bundle or basket of other items to be auctioned off. The best part of our fundraising committee is the creativity that our membership brings to it. All items being donated should be indicated on the form and sent to me at the aforementioned email address. The mailing address for these small items is in the packet. Please have individual items mailed as soon as possible after the funding packet is received. The committee will also follow up with the NABS treasurer to assure that the items were received. > Pledges: if a business or individual is interested in pledging to provide an item from a third party source, like Amazon or a retail store, please inform them that we can take a pledge for the item they are planning to donate as well. This pledge allows for individuals or businesses to complete the funding packet, return it to us, and ship the item to the auction winner after the time of the auction win. Please note that this option is only available for items that are valued at more than $150. If this is something that a business or organization is interested in, please have them complete the form and send it to my email address directly. This allows for me and the committee co-chairs to consistently interact with the business or organization throughout the duration of the time leading up to the auction. > > > If you have never experienced soliciting for donations before with NABS, don’t worry. I have included a template for a solicitation approach in this message as well. Please update it and change it to fit your writing style. This sample can be used in the body of an email or can be sent as an attachment, but a tip to all that do this is that there is a greater chance that you can land a donor or sponsor if the first approach is done in person (be safe, of course). > > Finally, there is an incentive! In the great work that our committee does around the country, NABS is able to build lasting connections with organizations that respect our dedication and hustle. Iota Phi Theta, Inc., one of the “Divine Nine” black fraternal and sororal Organizations of this country, donated a few items for our Washington Seminar, but also provided yours truly with a Google Home speaker for the NABS member that brings in the most completed funding packets. This incentive will be open to all members to compete for until December 1, 2020 at 12pm. If you have questions about any of these items or the funding packet, feel free to call or text me at (804) 801-7674. We hope that we can receive your help and thank you in advance for your hard work. > > > > With Love > > > > Robert E. Need to do this for a network lab and to show my trainer what I have done inside windows server 2019 inside hyper v manager. Any ideas. Have tried different software. You will be in cell a1 2: type =stdev(a,b,c,d,e,f...) replacing the letters with numbers in your sample and press enter 3: Excel will replace the value in a1 with the result of the calculation. Note: that is a crude way of doing it but if I had a small sample and just wanted a quick result, that is how I would do it. Tell a story-good or bad-about an experience you had with accessible or inaccessible instructional materials in higher education. If you are not in college yet, tell us about your fears about inaccessible instructional materials in higher education based on what you've heard from all the college students ahead of you. If possible, make it so that your video background is a famous place on your college campus that alumni will recognize. Do this by either going there in person to record your video outside like a news reporter or by using a Zoom virtual background with an image of that part of your campus. Submit your video by posting it on Facebook and/or Twitter, using the hashtag #StudentAccessMoments so that all of our networks can find your video! Here are some guidelines for the competition: * Videos must be no longer than 60 seconds. * Submissions will be due by: December 20 * Winners will be announced by: January 1 * Video submissions may be used in video promotions to educate the public about the accessibility barriers faced by blind students in higher education. * The best videos will be in landscape mode, clean, professional, articulate, and carry a tone that supports a belief in the right of blind students to equal access in higher education. * We expect to have many great submissions, so, if yours is not chosen by the judges, please understand that it may still have been very good and may still be included in future public education efforts. First, I want to thank you all for the wonderful membership meeting. Your enthusiasm, knowledge, and cultural awareness made this one of the most memorable meetings of 2020 for me. As promised, I am here with the email space for you to vote on the name of our next project. For those who were unable to make the call, the fundraising committee, in tandem with diversity and inclusion, are in talks of expanding our NABS cookbook series. In this additional volume, we will be highlighting the diversity of our group and the cultural diffusion that is so prevalent in the division by presenting recipes and anecdotes about different culturally unique efficiency dishes. This is something that will be focused on next year, but tonight we introduced the initiative and held a debate between two members on what the name of the newest volume would be: Nabs Nuggets or Nabs Noshes. NABS Nuggets was defended by Josh, who explained the universal acceptance of the nugget by businesses and restaurant chains. He advocated for the name because as a fundraising effort, we would be more likely to turn a profit for our efforts. NABS Noshes was defended by Mausam. She argued that because the term "nosh" originated in the U.K. and means a small amount, it is knowledge that members may have not known before and it would intrigue them to read more. She also advocated that this is the type of diversity and inclusion that our committee and membership hopes to depict anyway so it is the best name for this endeavor. Now I need your help. As NABS is a platform for student voices to be heard, I challenge each of you to use the "reply" button to send me a vote for what you believe the name of the project should be. Remember, this is an anonymous vote, so please don't hit "reply all." I will tally these votes and provide an official announcement at 12pm EST tomorrow afternoon. I look forward to reading your votes and thanks again for making our division amazing. Message-ID: Hello! I hope you had a restful, enjoyable, and delicious Thanksgiving! I've been looking into getting a new USB microphone for a few personal projects that involve voice over, and I was wondering if folks had any recommendations. I'd be happy to hear thoughts on other USB mics, but I'm particularly interested to know if people have used the Blue Yeti X along with the Logitech G HUB software that is paired with it. Is this software accessible with JAWS? If not, I'll likely choose the standard Blue Yeti instead unless folks have other better recommendations. Thanks for any input! I use a TI84+ calculator from APH, with the Orion extension. I am currently struggling with optimization problems and finding zeros of the second derivative. In the past, whenever I have needed to find zeros, I use the table function on the calculator, since my understanding is that the calculator needs some help with moving the cursor that requires a visual sense of the graph. Is this true? If so, how do you all find zeros when the table can only go in relatively large increments and often the answers to these questions are extremely long decimals (having the calculator go by thirds has always worked for me in the past). If not, how do you guys find the zeros of the function with the Orion? Thank you so much for your help! However, I wasn't sure how heavy the course work is. I know this varies from program to program, but just wanted to see if anyone had any experience in this type of degree. I'm currently working on a Master's at a seminary, and though I'm only taking one or two classes at a time, I don't want to give that up. I just want to be realistic and not overload myself. Thanks.
