Dear all,

This list is a really unique forum for blind students across the country to share ideas and experiences that are meaningful to our growth, and we are grateful for the opportunity to do so.
That being said, I would ask that we try to be mindful of our language and the intention behind it, as this is a place many of us come to seek support and resources as a community.

Thank you to those who have come forward with concerns. If you have anything you’d like to address directly with leadership, please don’t hesitate to reach out. As previously stated, the public list serve is not the most productive avenue to ensure that your thoughts come to our attention.

Best,
Mausam

I also believe it is important to create safe spaces for people to express themselves without the threat or fear of violence and abuse. Additionally, the National Federation of the Blind Code of Conduct clearly outlines the responsibility of leaders within this organization to provide a welcome and inclusive environment free of violence and abuse.
