You could create an Nfb Mailing list specifically for those in the medical field. I would also suggest creating one for those in the Customer Service industry. Let me know what you think of this jea.

As most of you know, I coordinate career mentoring and employment programs at the National Federation of the Blind Jernigan Institute. In so doing, I regularly work with transition youth, blindness professionals, and others from whom I often field inquiries from VR counselors but also students interested in working in the medical profession. I am aware that there are blind and low vision people successfully working and studying in this area. I'd like to mine your creative brains to see whether and how we might assemble some sort of group or resource where inquiries such as these could be referred. If it were a website, for example, perhaps there could be articles and contact information to those willing to discuss or provide helpful tips, something along the lines of a FAQ. I suspect there may even be members of this list working in this area of study. Wouldn't it be great to also have a centralized space where you could share information, challenges, and concerns?

Your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions shall be most sincerely welcomed and appreciated.
