Hi,
It really depends on the professor. For example, my finance professor taught us the same things both on the calculator and in Excel. When it came time for exams, I just completed everything in Excel. It might be worth asking them whether you can do the same. If you're not an Excel fan, I was able to find some online calculators just by googling calculators for specific tasks.
