Hey NABS Fam

>
> The moment of truth is upon us and the outcomes are slightly surprising and overly exciting. 16 weeks ago, NABS embarked on a shaky, but determined mission to conduct our annual fall fundraiser, NABS Fantasy Football. With covid-19 doubts in our minds and a focused group of recruiters, our national student division was able to bring together 48 individuals to promote our resilient spirit and our love for the greatest American sport. Our fantasy football league consisted of four12-team leagues and was coordinated by our efficient commissioners. From these weeks of competition, injuries, and pandemic-related trades, four individuals proved victorious and can claim the title of 2020 NABS Fantasy Football Champions. Here are the results:
>
> Midwest League Champion: Kenia Flores
> Our lovely first vice president of NABS had zero experience in fantasy football, its rules, or the inner workings of effective fantasy team drafts. However, with her innovation and ability to solicit information, Kenia stands before us as the Cinderella story of our 2020 competition.
>
> Pacific League Champion: Jarrod Austin
> Jarrod and his wife Marion, joined the Pacific League after one of the league commissioners informed them of the work that NABS does for blind students on Facebook. He is an entrepreneuer and often does work to support non-profit organizations. He has been very supportive of NABS and we hope he intends to continue working with us in the future.
>
> Southern League Champion: Henry Nomeland
> Henry has always been interested in learning how to play fantasy football, but wasn’t motivated to take a chance. Finally, the opportunity to learn the game while supporting the largest organization of blind students in the country appeared before him and he took the plunge. This dare to gain experience culminated in him winning the championship on his first attempt.
>
> Atlantic League Champion: Dhilan Chopra
> Dhilan is a 10-year old that wanted to play the game that some of his family members were excited about. In supporting NABS, an organization that has close ties to his family, he became the champion of an entire league, something that excites him and grants him bragging rights at the dinner table.

> Before closing this announcement and congratulating the winners of the individual leagues, there needs to be recognition for our wonderful league commissioners Gerald Meredith, Cody Beardslee, and Logan Stenzel. Their determination and recruiting skills provided structure and possibly the smoothest organization of a last-minute and seemingly impossible fundraiser. They are all champions in their own right. Please take time to congratulate all that wer involved and thank you all for making NABS an amazing organization.
