[NABS-L] Legislative Action related to Access Technology Affordability Act

Hi All,

Hoping this message finds you well! Today there was a legislative
action alert sent out by John Pare, Executive Director of Advocacy &
Policy increasing numbers of co-sponsors for the Access Technology
Affordability Act. The current Co-sponsors both House & Senate are
listed below, but if your member is not listed, it has been asked for
us to contact their respective Legislative Director (LD) urging them
to co-sponsor.

Attached to this message is a templet you can use for your messages to
the Congressional staffers and the other two documents are lists of
both House & Senate Legislative Directors. For any email you send,
please make sure to copy into them Jeff Kaloc jkaloc at nfb.org. As a
reminder, the Access Technology Affordability Act will create a
refundable tax credit up to $2,000 over a three year period to help
pay for assistive technology. Through this tax credit, it would help
blind students afford the necessary equipment to be competitive while
pursuing education, obtaining employment, and succeeding in whatever
field we wish to pursue!
