Hi, Aisia,  

I've taken a couple of statistics classes, both as an undergrad and in graduate school.  

It could be helpful to know some basic Nemith before you start. You will probably have to learn how to do some things by hand, just so you understand how things work, but eventually, you'll probably move to using some sort of software to do the math, then it won't matter much if you know Nemith. :-)
