[NABS-L] Learning mallet percussion

Hi everybody!
I'm looking for help learning mallet percussion as a blind student. I usually play tuba in my college's marching band, but I broke my foot, so I joined the front ensemble this year. The mallet instruments are more visual than I was expecting, and I was wondering if any percussionists have tips on learning a mallet instrument non-visually.
