[NABS-L] Universities With Good Accommodations

Hi Dana,
I've been a part of three different universities in the U.S. (one for
undergrad, master's and now as a PhD student).
I do think being mindful of the quality of disability services is really an
important factor. That said, since there are so many different universities
in the U.S., and each university has different strength and shortcomings, I
think it is perhaps a useful exercise to come up with a list of schools you
are interested in, based on your academic interests and other qualities.
Then investigate the disability supports and services available at those
institutions.
For what it is worth, I am currently studying at University of
Wisconsin-Madison; my experience with the disability services here has been
positive for the most part here, and I do think the university has good
programs for computer science and kinesiology. It also has a school of music
on its own, and I am aware that there was a blind student who di dher
doctoral studies at the music school here many years ago.
I am also aware that SUNY Brockport has a professor who works a great deal
with blind youth on physical education, though I have no experience at all
with the university's disability services.
All my best,
Miso

Hi all,
I would recommend george mason university Not only do they have many
services for individuals with disabilities, they also have a great variety
of students. They have a big selection of students who are from different
countries
