[NABS-L] Blackboard accessibility?

Good day:

My post-secondary institut8ion uses Blackboard, and I used it on both a Windows 10 and 11 PC without issue. There are small glitches, but overall, I find BB quite good. Canvas and BB are the two most commonly-used Learning platforms that seem to work quite well with different screen-readers.

Hey Sandra,

Great question. I’ve actually never used it. My schools all did Canvas, although one was testing something called Naviance before choosing canvas. I know that feedback on accessibility of blackboard was very very good a few years ago, but unsure how that has developed. I’d recommend emailing our Center for Excellence in Nonvisual Access for some help, tips, etc. You can reach them at access at nfb.org.
