Hi Julia thanks for your message. My name is Roanna Bacchus, and I am visually impaired.  I took Music Appreciation when I was in college. I requested to have the syllabus sent to me in Pdf format. I was able to read it electronically and save it on my braille display. My professor also allowed me to take the Cd with the appropriate music for a quiz down to the Disability Services office. I was able to listen to the track quietly while I completed the quiz for the chapter that we were discussing. I hope these accommodations are helful to you.

I know everyone has different needs, but I’d be curious if  fellow music students  have particular suggestions about accommodations. Besides the standard extra time and accessible documents, are there other things that people find useful/necessary? Thank you! Julia.
