[NABS-L] Walk-A-Thon

Hello, NABS members and supporters!!!

Who would have thought it would be so simple to assist blind pupils today?
Anyone, blind or not, has the ideal chance to assist our students, having
an impact on young people all over the country.



The 7th annual NABS Walk-A-Thon is now open! This enjoyable and simple
effort will center on raising money for our organization, which offers
blind students a variety of resources, including mentoring, advice on how
to succeed in high school and college, funding attendance at leadership
seminars, and sending national student leaders to events that will empower
our youth.



What do you need to do? Please join us by taking part in this program that
focuses exclusively on walking—something that most of us do every day! Each

When: From 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM Central Standard Time on Monday, July 3,
2023. As long as you're prepared to check your steps at the start and end
of each day, you can participate anywhere in the globe, but we hope you'll
join us in Houston, Texas, for the National Convention of the National
Federation of the Blind.



How: Checking the Health app on your iPhone or installing a step-tracking
program that translates steps into miles walked is all it takes to become
involved. Feel free to track your progress using a fitness wearable or just
your smartphone if you choose.



How do you solicit donations? You will be prompted to share your page on
social media after registering. Your relatives and friends will learn about
your plans on July 3 in this post, along with your motivations. We ask for
commitments of about $5 to $10 per mile when soliciting funds, but
obviously all sponsorships and donations are welcomed and appreciated.
Sharing freely and frequently on social media is the key to success!



The nicest part is that we are not requesting that your day be altered.
Simply sign up, share your page, and start walking to fulfill your role.
