[NABS-L] Use of Perusall Software for Class Readings

Something that I will say about canvas and accessibility of it in general, is it seems to do a lot better in Firefox. In terms of this specific program, I've used it before, and have come across the same struggle myself. But I honestly thought this was due to me being new to using it and things like that.

Hi Nina,
I’ve actually encountered the same issue when trying to use Perousall on my
iPad with VoiceOver. Interestingly, the issue doesn’t seem to only apply to
blind and low vision users. I have a friend with a different disability
that also reported difficulties with it, so I think the inaccessibility is
not merely technical. I would recommend that you create your own document
with your annotated reading, and then ask the professor to export the file
with everyone else’s annotations so you can access them. If the annotations
still can’t be read in that file, maybe you can download VD Scan on an
Apple device, take ScreenShots, and read them that way. If your professor
can’t export the annotated file, then maybe they can copy and paste the
annotations into a document with the reading and like reverse engineer one
for you.
Hope that helps :) have a great weekend
Best,
Kaleigh Brendle
