 🏆 Beep Baseball Victory!

We are thrilled to celebrate Romario Blake, a proud member of the Florida
Association of Blind Students (FABS), and his team for their incredible win
over the Minnesota Millers in the 2025 NBBA Beep Baseball World Series!

With a final score of 11–8, Romario made a clutch put-out to seal the
victory and showcase the skill, strategy, and teamwork that define this
sport. Congratulations, Romario—and to the entire team—on this amazing
achievement! Your FABS family couldn’t be prouder.

For those who don’t know, beep baseball is an adapted version of America’s
pastime designed for blind and low-vision athletes. The first Beep Baseball
World Series was held in September 1975 in St. Paul, Minnesota, where the
St. Paul Gorillas defeated the Phoenix Outlaws with a score of 39–27.

The National Beep Baseball Association (NBBA) was founded in January 1976
in Chicago, thanks to the efforts of a pioneering group known as “The Dirty
Dozen.” These founding figures included John Ross (known as the Father of
Beep Baseball), Bill Gibney, Jim Quinn, and others who laid the groundwork
for what has become an internationally celebrated sport.

Over the decades, elite teams like the Austin Blackhawks, True Site, Indy
Thunder, and current champions Indy Edge have shaped the legacy of beep
baseball.
