See below for info about a generous tuition scholarship for blind students
pursuing STEM fields, social science research, or work in the aging field.

This is a reminder that the February 17 application deadline is approaching
for the American Foundation for the Blind’s *AFB Scholars Program*

which supports blind and low-vision students pursuing postsecondary
education in the United States.

The AFB Scholars Program offers substantial scholarship funding along
with *mentorship
and professional development opportunities*

Awards are available at multiple academic levels, including $8,000 for
community college students, $20,000 for undergraduate students, and $28,000
for graduate students. Funding is provided through the Lulu J. Alonso
Scholarship Fund.

*The application deadline is Tuesday, February 17, 2026. *Students who
applied in previous years may be eligible to apply again.
