Hey NABS family!
Michigan got a little bit of extra time! 🍿
The Michigan Association of Blind Students has officially received a TWO-DAY EXTENSION on our Double Good popcorn fundraiser!
As fellow members of NABS, you all know that our state student divisions are where so many blind students first find community, mentorship, leadership opportunities, advocacy skills, and the confidence that comes from being surrounded by other blind people who expect us to live the lives we want.
That is exactly why MIABS is fundraising.
We are working to help Michigan blind students attend the National Federation of the Blind of Michigan state convention in Grand Rapids. For some students, financial assistance can make the difference between hearing about the Federation from a distance and actually being in the room—meeting blind mentors, building friendships, developing as leaders, and becoming more connected to our movement.
We aren't asking NABS to support strangers. We're asking our Federation family to help fellow blind students get to the table.
If you've ever had a state convention, national convention, NABS seminar, mentor, or Federation friend change the way you thought about blindness or what was possible for your future, you already understand why this matters.
And the bonus? You get popcorn. We get closer to getting students to convention. Everybody wins. 😄🍿
We have TWO MORE DAYS. If you're able to support MIABS—or even just share our store with someone who loves popcorn—we would greatly appreciate it.

From one NABS state division to the rest of our NABS family: thank you for helping us continue building the next generation of blind leaders.
Let's go build the National Federation of the Blind! ❤️🤍
The National Federation of the Blind advances the lives of its members and all blind people in the United States. We know that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. Our collective power, determination, and diversity achieve the aspirations of all blind people.
Sincerely,
Jeffery Crouch
