[nagdu] snacking from the garden

Tomatoes are high in pectin which is binding. When our dogs developed
diarrhea, our vet had us add canned tomatoes to the usual rice and chicken.
After cooking up a big pot of that mixture, my wife and I would usually have
a bowl each with seasoning. Yummy.

Subject: [nagdu] snacking from the garden

Joy's story about her dog snatching carrots direct from the garden
reminded me that every summber I have to guard my tomatoes from Echo. She
takes them right off the vine. "Look, balls, and they're tasty, too!"
She's not too careful though, and she sometimes breaks the vines, pulling
and going after the tomatoes. Little rascal.
I sometimes worry that they'll affect her digestion, but they never have.
Tracy
