And, perkolator coffee is the only way to drink coffee, unless you're
drinking expresso.
Glad you're okay.

Subject: [nagdu] deep freeze in S VT

Hi all,
thought id weigh in so to speak...
we lost power wed eve after much flickering on /off...
still no power here at my farm in southern vt.

I am writing to remind myself that im ok, no matter what...
no power means now water, no heat et...(water requires elec pump) ...

I am so amazed at how things fall into place (in spite of the storm)...
thanksgiving weekend i was planning on visiting out of state, due to
unforseen finincial issues i opted out and stayed home... due to staying
home, a buyer came and payed for my truck.
that money paid for my snow tires, and now i was able to afford a
generator so i dont loose all the meat in my chest freezers (this is a
lamb farm), and pay the handyman to hook it all up.
so now i have fridge in kitchen and freezer in cellar on generator!~

the ice took down tons of my trees, some sounded like they had hit the
house as the vibration and boom was too close during the first couple
nights... I thank God for my dogs, their company had been just what i
needed to stay focused on the good and the can, rather than the bad &
the can not.

friday i took a shower at the homeless shelter over the mountain, and
last night a shower at a friends house.
I filled my "recycling" OJ bottles with water while there, so today i
could make coffee on my gas stove with my perk pot i use when camping.
I have been keeping the wood stove in basement going to keep pipes from
freezing.

sat we had that moon that was so big and close, it was so bright
reflecting on all the ice on grass and trees you didnt need flashlight
to see outside.
then the sunrise over the mountain was amazingly beautiful, orange and
red... i took photos of the sunrise, after taking about 10 min worth of
the horizon i then spotted a moose in the bottom right of my far back
yard! i got photo of his butt moving into the woods! lol....

anyone else here camping out of their homes?

hugs to all,
prayers graciously thankful for...
Bunny & C0
