Hi Ted.
We have 4-5 inches of snow here, and piles from the plow and shovelling.
Now it's turning to ice, since we had a little rain yesterday. Gack!
Ben is doing very well. I love having a dog in the snow! He looks for
the easiest path through the piles at the corner, and, even though he's
not a large dog, he helps pull me up to step if I have to step extra high.
He looks for the clearest path on the sidewalk. Sometimes, if someone
has only made a narrow path, I have to walk behind him, instead of the
usual position, but he's fine with that. Even where nothing's shovelled,
he can see where we want to go and aim for it. I especially loved that in
college. Even if the walks were completely covered, Glade could see the
door she knew we wanted and head for it.

Yesterday afternoon, my sister and I went to see a Broadway musical.
Afterwards, the crowds were insane! People getting out of shows, or
headed out to dinner, or gawking at the lights. Tourists stopping dead in
the middle of the crosswalk to take pictures! Yo! It's a sign! It's a
building! At least get out of the street before you stand and gape!
But Ben was fantastic! Working his way through, finding the best way,
waving his long tail the whole time. He did try to scarf a roll off the
ground, but I took it away and after that he was good. And the way he
curled up at the theater, not sprawling into other people's space, or
being bothered by the noise. I was very proud of my City boy.
Tracy
