Hi Linda,

Thanks for posting this info. You can also find this movie for sale on eBay
and on amazon. (Amazon itself doesn't sell the movie, but it links to other
sellers who have it.)

I got mine from eBay, and it was really fun to watch.

Subject: [nagdu] "Atta Girl, Kelly" movie on DVD

Hi everyone,
The Disney "Wonderful World of Color" three-part movie, "Atta Girl, Kelly"
is now available on DVD! It is available for purchase via the Disney Movie
Club. The DVD features the entire three parts of the movie that was run in
the mid 1960s on the Sunday night weekly show, "Walt Disney's Wonderful
World of Color". Also on the DVD is a short piece about The Seeing Eye that
was filmed last fall. There is also an audio part that is the 1966 Seeing
Eye Holiday recording of Walt Disney's actual voice on that record where he
sends greetings to the graduates and announces the feature film on his show
that was about to come out.

To get the DVD, go to disneymovieclub.com and sign up for their club. For
membership, you do have to buy some movies. Once you join, you can get all
kinds of great old Disney movies that aren't available in stores. I am
slowly turning over my Disney VHS tapes to DVDs. You can get them on Blue
Ray if you have that or regular DVD. No VHS tapes.

The Disney Movie Club has a phone number to join by. The website is hard to
use. I used the phone number to join and then used the website to see and
order movies. The number is 1-800-362-4587. You can also order via phone.
"Atta Girl, Kelly" is under the Disney Exclusives link.

For me, watching the movie brought back memories of my youthful Sunday
nights at my grandparents watching their color TV. We didn't have one yet.
That Disney show was one of the first shows to be presented in "living
color" as they put it. That movie was my introduction to guide dogs and The
Seeing Eye. I never knew it that I would one day have one of those
wonderful dogs from The Seeing Eye!

The movie doesn't really show the whole reality of the role of the puppy
raiser but it does pretty well hit the nail on the head with issues of
trusting your dog, dogs who flunk out while on class, and the need to handle
the dog differently than as a plain old household pet.

I bought the movie for myself and one for another Seeing Eye grad here in
San Diego.

It is unfortunately not available on Discriptive Video Services. Also, the
movie, "Love Leads The Way" is not available - I have a copy that was
recorded onto DVD by a friend who saw it on the Disney Channel on TV.

Take care,

Linda and Landon
