[nagdu] Videos

Tracy,

When I applied to FIDELCO the video took place of the home visit, I'm
not sure if that is the case with everyone who applies to FIDELCO but that
was the way it was done with me, I also had a telephone interview that took
about an hour. I'm pretty sure that they can get a good idea of your speed
by how fast you are walking on the video. Tarik is not my first guide, he is
my first from FIDELCO, but he is not my first guide. When I applied I had a
good idea of what characteristics I wanted in a guide, that may have played
a part also. I have very good orientation skills and very good mobility
skills, both of those attributes, "I believe" can be recognized through a
video pretty well.

That's just how it worked for me, I'm not sure if that's the way it's always
done, maybe if the school had some deeper concerns they might have sent
someone out to visit with me. I think also by skipping the home visit, they
can save some money and speed up the process.

    Bryan and Tarik from FIDELCO
