[nagdu] Fiber

Rox,

I wonder if your former football jock knew my former soccer pro in their
previous lives. /smile/

I haven't taught Mitzi any of that advanced household stuff, though she does
have a few of the skills, and I've shown her the tasks and taught her names
of things. She can put the skills together to get in trouble, especially if
it comes to getting her teeth into something that's not good for her!
/smile/

Also, she supervises intently. I swear if I do something a little
different, she questions my methods and examines the end result to make sure
I haven't screwed things up. /smile/ What's really fun is to watch her in
the well-lighted kitchen with Daisy's dad, who is an excellent cook and
always trying out new recipes, which he talks his way through while he's
cooking. Mitzi follows his every move with great interest and has starting
pointing things out to him when he goes looking for them, though he's too
busy to notice. /smile/ And, no, it's not just for the dropped food,
though she's not above cleaning up if it's needed. Half the time, she so
involved with watching, Daisy is the one to grab the yummy off the floor
from under Mitzi's feet. Too, too funny.

Anyway, I like hearing your stories of how your dogs do their work and how
you manage to work two so neither gets worn down or soured by it all.

Another way to give dogs fiber is frozen green beans.

I just plop a handful in Katy's bowl along with her food and she's a happy
camper.

Plus, it's easier than defrosting pumpkin. <grins>

I do agree with Ben's good taste, though, except I'd have to have some
cinnamon and nut meg thrown in with it.
