So how would the NFB have helped him?

Hi Rebecca,
Dr. Boletin worked himself to death for basically two reasons:  Fighting
the neverending uphill battle to be a doctor because he was blind, and
he also was a Type 1 personality and was too much of a perfectionist -
he didn't want anyone's help.  Poor guy, but he did it! (smile!)
