That is one of the hardest things for a new guide dog team is to be able to 
put your trust and life in the hands of the dog. That is why the match up 
process is so important. As far as a second dog that is a very difficult 
thing too. The longer you have your guide the stronger the bond and when 
they retire it can be a traumatic situation for the both of you. I wake up 
each day to the ball of fur that depends on me as much as I depend on him 
and I can't imagine being without him.
