  I'm right there with you!!  I found some vitamins "Women over 50 - One A Days", although I'm  not yet 50, I think I am going to buy them especially since my brain is going to be put into overdrive soon.

    I'm laughing because I believe you told me that you wanted the dog treats at the council reception. You know why I'm laughing right? Our memories (smile)!!

    Well, let me tell you this story about travelling around that building...
    One morning after getting breakfast on the first floor I thought to myself...glad I have some vision to navigate this hotel...well, less than 60 seconds later I find myself trying to get into my room. Talking to Marion from the other side that I can't understand why my key is not working. I'm sure you guessed it..I was at the wrong room. So, when I realized this I hastily spun around did get out of dodge to find this nice wall to spash into. Serves me right for my initial thought.

    The first floor was the most confusing of all. I would find a place, but can guarantee the second time I was searching for it again. The last day we were there I was looking for our bank which we had found the day before. I was so tired and confused, I was stating to Marion that I hated this building. Now, I loved the convention and would love to go back to Detroit and the building as well. Next time, I just take some notes!!! (big smile).

    I have always had the opinion that it is easier to maneuver in a crowd with a dog than a cane and that is because, as Mike Hingson said, they find that hole and zip ya right on through it. I do know seeing all the dogs working so well made me excited about getting anothe guide!!

    I am very proud of the NAGDU division and (of course) my wonderful husband!!

    I have a question. Both of you attended the convention without dogs. What for each of you was the most striking difference in navigating, traveling, etc.? Though the dogs get stressed, I find it much easier getting around places like the Ren Center with my dog than with a cane. Just wanted to know.

    Did you two attend the council of dog guide school's reception? I did not see you there. SEGBY and some other schools were there that did not attend the NAGDU meeting. The reception was very nice.
