Hi List;
This is just my opinion, but, I do my best to keep Ro at her best when in any public place. This includes being clean, quiet, and out of the way. I also do my best to represent both of us in a good light as well, just like an ambassador. That does not mean I'm a push over and I've had my share of negative attitudes in the six months I've become a guide dog handler. Maybe it's due to my having raised dogs all my life, too. I will not bring my pet dog into situations that won't bring out her best so I keep this in mind whenever I go out with Ro.

Aggression. barking, jumping, hoovering, and wandering is not tolerated when Ro is in harness. If she is wet, I rub her down in the vestibule of the place I'm going, or in the very least, tell her to shake before we go in somewhere. I bring an absorbent towel and paper towels in my bag, too, just in case. She will drool sometimes, so I also check her jowls every so often to make sure she leaves as little evidence as possible. Smile. But she drools most when we are dining al fresco and the birds are taunting her. LOL
Best,
Annie & Ro
