[nagdu] Things I wanted to discuss, but just didn't have time to

No, not in a non-guide setting will a dog track on the left. I meant that I
think when a dog works on the left and needs to put a lot more thought into
clearing obstacles on the right, that they will naturally follow a left hand
line. It's just basic problem solving on the dog's part. If they followed a
line on the right they'd have to constantly be putting more effort into
clearance on that side. I think they choose to follow the left hand line
because it is easier.

And yes, there are dog's that work on the right. I know of one left handed
person who chose to owner train her guide to that side so she could have her
dominant hand free. I also know of a couple people who work their dog's on
the right due to medical necessity. To the best of my knowledge at least
several of the programs will train a dog on the right if the handler needs
that.
