[nagdu] Those dogs sure are smart!

I've had more people think I was talking to them when I was talking to my
dog. /smile/ Sometimes instead of using "find," I will ask her "where is
it?" which she responds to just as well. So I will stop for a sec to
re-orient and say, "Where's the elevator?" or something, and a voice from
nowhere will say, "Oh! It's just down the hallway to your left!" or "Here,
let me show you."  /lol/

Mitzi also follows given directions. I'm always surprised at how many steps
she can grasp and remember.

Next time, I will try to remember to ask her politely to tel me where stuff
is.  /grin/

Has anybody ever assumed that you are talking to your dog when in fact you
are talking to them? This has happened to me at least once when I was asking
for directions. Apparently, the proper way to work a dog is to say, "Excuse
me, could you
tel me where X is?"
