Dear Tracy,
I wish you well after your surgery. I had a double mastectomy 11
years ago and I am doing well. My Golden Escort was with me during
my hospital stay and guided me around the corridors. He seemed to
sense that my IV pole and I had to move very slowly. Escort was not
a puller, so we were able to take walks immediately after surgery
when I returned home. He accompanied me to the six months of
chemotherapy treatment. Your doctor will probably have no idea of
how your dog works or his level of pull on your arm. Only you can
determine if it is uncomfortable to walk with Ben.
If you'd like to talk more, please phone me at 559-224-0544 Pacific Time.
