Also, if you do find that more than one school will accept you, be sure to
consider the services that they provide after you get your dog, that is, if
you feel that you would utilize them. For example, GDB provides free flea
and heart worm medicine as well as a few other things.

I have started my path already on program investigations trying to find one
that will be open to meeting my needs as I knew having a different
disability might make finding a school willing to train a guide for me
somewhat difficult. I plan to retire James in about 2 years or so so wanted
to start my search early in case problems arose. So far I have found the
GDF willing to work with me and consider my application so I'm starting with
them. I've already begun my application processes and seem to be moving
along with that, I hope it will work out as I have always admired the guides
they produce.
