Gee whiz, can you teach my dog to do that?  I cannot smell, so I cannot
smell alcohol  or smoke.

A month after I was home with my dog three years ago, we were on the buss
going across the state.
A drunk got on the buss sitting behind me.
Sticking his hand between the seats.
My dog gave a low growl.
Trust me, this was the first time I had heard this from him.
I reached down to make sure I felt his body vibrate when he was doing this.
sure enough he was growling.
the guy says "I think your dog hates me.?
My reply was "you better listen."
trust me when someone else sat behind me my dog was fine.
He also did this when folks went by with smoking pot.
did I praise yes,
I did, a small bit very quietly.
I am sure the schools would wish you to correct, where I feel there are
times if the dog feels fear, and shows it, I listen.
