Hi Dar,

I think I would leave him home if I were you.  I left my dog home when I had
my wisdom teeth out a few years back, and they put me under to do the
extraction.  I knew I'd be out of it afterwards for a while, and the friend
that took me to the appointment liked my dog well enough but didn't know the
first thing about handling her.  So I figured it would be best to leave her
home, and she was fine.
