[nagdu] possible causes for vomitting

In my experience, vomitting can be a sign of a serious problem, or
sometimes not. For a little while with my first dog, I tried feeding her
really cheap food, and she'd throw up every afternoon. The vet said she
wasn't getting enough food in her system to keep her going. I switched to
a better food, and the vomitting stopped.
Another dog of mine would throw up regularly around 3:00 A.M. because her
tummy got too empty before her morning feeding. I switched to a
twice-a-day feeding schedule, and the vomitting stopped.
Yet another dog threw up after I gave him a Prednazone pill for excessive
scratching. The vet said the vomitting and the pill couldn't be
connected, but I stopped the pills and Nestor stopped the vomitting.
So you never know. Sometimes there is a simple solution, and sometimes
not. In my experience, the only thing to do is consult the vet, and to
pay close attention to the timing of the problem. If it happens around
the same time every day, that's a clue the person and the vet can follow
up on.
HTH.
