tually, I had that problem with my first ddog and did just as Dar 
suggested;it did not bode well. The next time I had a dog like that, I 
gradually went on the side that she started out fearing and she gradually 
adjusted.

I would want to work the problem out, not try to protect the problem.
I won't cross a street just to help the dog.
I would stay on the side I need to be on, because I would havee to
cross back over.
