Thanks for the info! I would love to attend one... It's just getting to
there from here. I'll look for the dish washing tape. /smile/

I don't think you could get a transcript of the philosophy seminars,
other than by visiting the various centers that conduct them and
observing/participating in them. However, one particular topic that
seems to come up every so often is one that Dr. Jernigan did way back
when on washing dishes. Seminars today reference the famous, or
infamous, "dish washing" tape. I think you can download it from the
NFB website somewhere and listen to the original discussion that Dr.
Jernigan held back in the sixties in Iowa. It's cool to participate in
a seminar though. Though there may be staff leading the discussion,
both the staff and students benefit from the topic and discussion. Not
a bad way to spend an hour or two.

Personally, I see seminar as bringing together all of the training
areas. Picture a large wheel with all the training areas, such as
Braille, technology, mobility, etc., being around the outer edge of
the wheel. Seminar and recreation are in the middle, where all the
lines that come from the outer edge meet and come together. Some staff
see seminar as an excuse to get some paperwork done, but I make a
point of participating whenever I can. That was the one big class,
other than mobility, that i really enjoyed when at the Colorado Center
10 years ago.
