[nagdu] convention 2010 ???

Good morning Marion and listers,

I'm with you on that one Marion. If you're going to spend your time and
money spend it attending an NFB convention. That's especially true for us as
it will be here in Texas. I don't know why anyone would waste their time
spending their hard-earned resources with an outfit like that. You won't
find Mary and I there. The reason can be found at:
http://www.nfb.org/nfb/Back_To_Basics_2009.asp?SnID=515734139

That link takes you to the 2009 Back-to-Basics Membership and Chapter
building Seminar held during this year's national convention; a seminar I
had the privilege of recording. I was touched to learn that it now appears
on our national Web site for affiliates and local chapters to download and
learn from. NAGDU Divisions would also benefit from this material as well.
I'd like to see the ACB'S equivalent. I wouldn't need to attend their
convention to avail myself of it. Show us the link ACB!!

If I had the extra bucks I wouldn't waste it on becoming involved in
that outfit at any level. Mary and I will plan to see everyone in Dallas
next year. Perhaps we'll be able to hail and air taxi to Dallas Love Field
avoiding long bus rides and having to deal with Southwest Airlines. They're
currently the only commercial airline that flies between San Antonio and
Dallas Love Field. Julie hope to see you, Sidney, and your new pup next
year.

Peter Donahue

Marion,

Have you been to an ACB convention? Next year's is in Phoenix if I'm not
mistaken. I'm seriously thinking of going. I'm very curious to see the
differences between ACB and NFB, the organizations themselves as well as the
convention experience. I've been to a state ACB convention. There were
differences, of course, but I think going to a national convention would be
a more valuable experience to better understand ACB.

There are so many social, legal and physical barriers to overcome, I'd so
much like to see the two organizations work together. I'll do what I can
and for me I think the first step is attending an ACB national convention if
I can to understand what they think and why.

Julie
