[nagdu] Dog choosing

I too would like to find out and meet all the dogs the school has in mind
for me. I don't think it would probably be more than 2 or 3.
However, it has been my experience that different people use the same
words to describe different things. For instance, Ben's trainer told me
that Ben is a sensitive dog. He is, in certain circumstances, but if he's
got it in his head that he's sniffing, it takes a big effort from me to
convince him otherwise. On a scale from 1-10, with 1 being least
sensitive, I'd say he's a 2 or 3. Echo is a 7 or 8, but no one told me
how sensitive she is.
And Amba's trainer told me that Amba was a really tough dog, and I'd
better be ready for that. I expected a mule, but really she was easy to
persuade from one course to another, easier than Ben, I think.
But a friend of mine maintains that GDB dogs do not have the extremes of
TSE dogs--she says GDB dogs are more homogenous, so a dog GDB might
consider tough might be around the beginning of the middle for TSE.

I have considered asking for a cheerful dog, but I'm afraid someone else's
version of cheerful might be my definition of wild Wahoo!

I'm not sure true personality would show in a short amount of time. Some
would, but, in my experience, it takes a few days for the dog to start
coming out of his shell and showing me some of his quirks.
