For purposes of hotel registration, the event will formally begin on Thursday, January 6 and will conclude on Sunday, January 9, 2011. The hotel and event registration cut off deadline is December 6, 2010. During the conference, five meals will be served. You are invited to purchase any or all of these meal selections. On Friday evening, you can choose from a trio salad plate consisting of Hawaiian chicken salad, tuna salad and seafood salad
served with sliced fruit and a buttery croissant, or Chicken Marsala or Veggie Lasagna. Dessert will be bread pudding. The cost of the Friday evening meal is $20.00. During this time, we will socialize and listen to great music from the vast library of the Director of ACB Radio, Larry Turnbull.
A plated breakfast consisting of orange juice, regular and decaffeinated coffee and tea, Breakfast Muffin, Scrambled Eggs, Sausage Links, Breakfast Potatoes and Seasonal Sliced Fruit will
be served on Saturday and Sunday morning at $15.00 per meal. Boxed lunches will be served on Saturday afternoon at $15.00. Choose between honey baked ham and Swiss, oven roasted smoked turkey, roast beef and Swiss or veggie wrap.
Your choices for the Saturday evening banquet are Mahi Mahi, Prime Rib or Veggie Meal with baked apple in puff pastry with cinnamon, caramel sauce for dessert, at a cost of $30.00.
This year's programming includes a variety of opportunities for attendees to be entertained, enriched and educated. On Friday morning, in order to prepare you for your adventures at the various Orlando based theme parks, learn about the access options specifically designed for people who are blind and visually impaired. The exhibit area will be open on Friday, providing you with opportunities to purchase wonderful products and services for you and your guide. After breakfast on Saturday, the Top Dog Workshop will present the very popular blessing of the guide dogs. We will learn about issues
confronting guide dog handlers who face health crises in their lives necessitating that they reside in a health care facility or housing available to people and their families while they receive long or short-term care. Law enforcement, educating officials and guaranteeing enforcement is a battle that we each fight where we live, play and work. Learn valuable tips to assist you in this very laudable cause. The
participating guide dog schools will present their reports. You will have the opportunity to meet wonderful puppy raisers from several schools who will share some of their life experiences
with the adorable puppies who grow up to be our guide dogs. The exhibit area will be open during specific hours on Saturday. The Saturday evening banquet will be a special time to share and hear an
exciting guide dog oriented presentation.
Many people are working extremely hard to bring to you the very best programming and entertainment opportunities. Your participation in the 2011 Top Dog Workshop will make it even better. Thank you so much for your interest in, and support of the 2011 Top Dog Workshop.
Respectfully,
Debbie Grubb,
Event Coordinator
