Hello all:

Yesterday, Echevarria Travel; which consists of Nelson, my guide dog Maxx, 
and myself went to Staples here in Bay Shore, NY.  They had an opportunity 
for small business and vendors in the area to display there wears for 
Teacher's Appreciation Day.

Things like this are great ideas also for Meet the Blind month coming up in 
October with the NFB.  Or maybe other organizations out there.

For those that own a business, it is a great time of year to advertise to 
teachers, where it is items for school, or vacations, anything to do with 
Teacher's, back to school, maybe when they are off from school.  They need 
the appreciation we can give them.

I also gave away a free 3 day/2 Night Hotel Accommodations for 2.  I usually 
give these away to client who have purchased vacations from me, and also a 
$100 diningdough.com restaurant gift certificate.

Things to think about.

Maxx was the start of the Day people were asking about him, and asking about 
me be blind and owning my own business.

Also gave our flyer on the Cruise to Benefit the Guide Dog Foundation for 
the Blind.  Please remember the last day for deposits on this is December 
2010, please reserve early, since the ship itself is almost sold out.  April 
30-May 7, 2011 is the cruise round trip out of New York City to Orlando, FL, 
Great Stirrup Cay, and Nassau in the Bahamas and back to New York City. 
$50 per person is being donated to the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind 
and also another $50 per stateroom is being donated as well.  So let's make 
this a great fundraiser.
